Corporate Displacement, 1997
:General Mills Inc. (corporate headquarters)
Two modernist buildings are intercepted by a third forming an "H" configuration. On one side are two garden pavilions which duplicate the modular form and material of the interior office space now relocated, out-of-doors, to function as public space for the office workers. The other side is a public meeting area designed as a "corporate boardroom" with a table and eight chairs which have mirrored backs which reflected those seated and their surroundings.
