(SKINS) are textures digitally coded to simulate a specific surface such as wood, rust, water, etc. that are then applied to a structure to give a sense of “realness”. If there is no structure the texture appears on the screen as an abstract composition, often resembling something made directly by hand. These compositions can be modified by a slight movement of the mouse or an adjustment to numerical percentages to determine the aesthetics of the drawing.
